This competition will be used to fill positions at the Clerk 3 level of varying employment tenures, language requirements, security requirements, conditions of employment and work locations depending on the needs of the positions being staffed.

Duties:
Clerk 3 Administrative Stream duties will vary depending on the position. Duties may include:
  • Assessing, processing and completing applications
  • Preparing statistical data or performing specialized tasks which requires independent research and compilation
  • Preparing, checking and completing payrolls
  • Data entry
  • Maintaining physical and electronic records

Duties will include providing other clerical/administrative support as required.
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Experience performing clerical and administrative duties in an office environment such as data entry, preparing specialized or highly complex documents and processing detailed documentation and manual and electronic file maintenance
  • Ability to interpret, explain and apply legislation, regulations, policies and/or procedures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage deadlines
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.   
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). 
  • Effective written communication skills with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communications
  • Effective verbal communication skills to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Desired:
  • Experience working with the public in front-line customer services oriented environment (e.g. serving the public in person)
  • Verbal communication skills - French
  • Written communication skills - French

Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check may be required for some positions
