Introduction
A six month eligibility list may be created for similar regular, term, or full-time positions from this competition. The EPR Coordinator is responsible for the overall supervision and management of several licensed residential care facilities that operate on a seven day a week twenty-four hours basis, ensuring that safety and needs of children placed in their shelters are met. The EPR Coordinator may be required to work evenings and weekends
Duties:
Reporting to the Unit Supervisor, the EPR Coordinator is responsible for developing individual behaviour plans; serving as a resource for social workers; assisting in identifying and recommending long-term placement plans; building and developing teams; addressing operation matters related to expenditures, licensing and quality standards. Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post secondary education in social science or a combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Experience working with children and youth in a residential care setting.
- Ability to supervise staff, including but not limited to scheduling, leading and managing performance.
- Knowledge of case management (Intake, assessment, implementation, evaluation and closure).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-systemic team.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft (Word and Outlook).
Desired:
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act.
- Ability to manage budgets including allocation of funds and record keeping.
