Indigenous Reconciliation and Northern Relations is undertaking the first of a two-phase initiative to achieve its mandate of modernizing the administration of cottage areas outside of parks. Modernization will provide an opportunity to address longstanding issues relating from the historical lack of a centralized, systems approach to cottages in Manitoba.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Northern Affairs Branch, the Project Manager takes a lead role in support of the Director regarding the strategic development, negotiation, implementation and coordination of regional, community and/or province-wide initiatives and policies in Manitoba to improve the quality of life and well-being of Indigenous and northern Manitobans. This includes responses to current and emerging issues on matters which may have an impact on federal, provincial and Indigenous governments. The Project Manager provides managerial, administrative, technical, consultation, research and analytical support to the Director, as well as direct supervision, support, and guidance to other policy analysts within the Branch.
