This is an exciting opportunity to join the new Integrated Planning Branch of the Department of Agriculture and Resource Development as the Manager of Integrated Resource Planning. As the Manager, you will lead the development of integrated resource management plans that consider all aspects of Manitoba’s people, landscapes and assets to enable proactive approaches to the sustainable development of Manitoba’s resources.

Duties:
As the Manager of Integrated Resource Planning, you will lead a team of professionals that consider the way in which people and natural landscapes interact. Your leadership will bring together expertise and interests in land use planning, water management, bio-diversity conservation, natural heritage management, and the future sustainability of industries like agriculture, mining, eco-tourism, fisheries and forestry. You will work closely with other Branches of government; other levels of government, including Federal, municipal and Indigenous governments; stakeholders; academia; industry; and communities on the development of sustainable resource management plans and special initiatives. You will also lead a process for interdisciplinary review of major resource development projects in Manitoba.
