  • Ability to travel throughout the province by air, or ground transportation with overnight stay as required
 

Qualifications:

 
Essential:
  • Geomatics Technology Diploma, OR completion of Department level 3 training program OR suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience in legal survey calculations, interpretation of metes and bounds descriptions, engineering and legal survey plans, certificates of title and the systems of survey in the province
  • Related experience in land acquisition/expropriation, surveying and real property disposition
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to large audiences
  • Knowledge of land development, environment issues, functional planning and highway construction
  • Directly related experience and understanding of Indigenous land settlement issues
  • Experienced with Adobe Acrobat Pro and proficient with Microsoft Office Software package (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience drafting and preparing technical correspondence and reports, website documents, mapping and graphics
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
 

Duties:

The Property Coordinator reports to the Senior Property Coordinator and is responsible for the coordination and management of the department's provincial highway system declaration and abandonment ministerial approval process, monitoring and reviewing the activities of the Engineering and Operations Division, Water Management and Structures Division, and Crown Lands and Property Agency (CLPA) relating to right of way acquisition, property disposition and advance purchase activities on a Division-wide basis for departmental roads, drains, northern airports and marine facilities and water control rights-of-way.  The Property Coordinator assists in First Nation federal reserve land issues, the development and management of the Branch's website documents, mapping and graphics for training and presentations and provides a technical resource to support Engineering and Operations staff to deliver programmed services.
