Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Post secondary education in Communications, Business, Public Administration or another related discipline¿ or an equivalent combination of relevant education and related experience may be considered.
  • Experience analyzing data and information to identify and correlate key points and formulate recommendations.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or equivalent software applications.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing technical and/or corporate reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Political acumen with the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
 
Desired:
  • Knowledge of the agriculture, agrifood and agriproduct sectors within Manitoba.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Sharepoint, Access and Project and/or equivalent software applications.
  • Knowledge of Manitoba Agriculture policies and procedures.
 
 

Duties:

Reporting to the Manager, Lean Management and Service Innovation, the Reports Coordinator is responsible for the development, management and successful execution of department wide briefings, department performance metrics and public and internal corporate reporting requirements on behalf of the Minister and/or the Executive Management team. The position is responsible for providing analysis of government priorities and making recommendations on correlations to department mandates and strategies, determining and managing reporting contents and methodologies and analysis and evaluation of department performance metrics.
