Manitoba Education and Training is looking for an experienced professional in the role of Senior Years e-Learning and Web-based Course Development Consultant.

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must have a valid Manitoba Teaching certificate.
  • Must have the ability to travel throughout Manitoba.
  • Must have the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
 
Essential:
 
  • Experience delivering e-Learning/Web-based courses.
  • Experience designing, reviewing and evaluating e-Learning/Web-based courses.
  • Experience creating and updating web and social media sites for educators and students.
  • Experience using the Blackboard Learning Management System, and knowledge of current technology and trends in e-Learning/Web-based course delivery.
  • Experience leading diverse work groups and project teams.
  • Knowledge of the Senior Years Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes, and Literacy with ICT across the Curriculum.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to act with diplomacy and tact.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to create and edit various documents with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to build relationships and foster collaboration.
 

Duties:

The Consultant for Senior Years e-learning/Web-based Course Development is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of the content, instructional design and development of Manitoba's senior years e-learning projects and Web-based Courses (WBCs). This position consults and collaborates with teams that support educators and administrators in the infusion of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into Manitoba senior year's curricula and classrooms. In addition, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining Memoranda of Understanding with Manitoba School Divisions and MFNERC related to Virtual Collegiates.
