The Legislative Library provides non-partisan access to specialized information resources for the Legislature, government, and people of Manitoba, and ensures current and future access to Manitoba's published heritage. The Library is seeking a skilled library professional to join the government publications team as the Government Publications Library Technician.
Duties:
Reporting to the Head, Government Publications and Library Systems, the incumbent identifies, acquires, organizes, and catalogues legislative and government publications from Manitoba and other Canadian or international jurisdictions. Creates bibliographical records according to national and international library standards for the Library’s catalogue and adds publications and their metadata to the Library's Digital Collection of Manitoba government publications. Assists with reference and research services.
