The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Drafting and Permit Technician within the Highway Regional Operations Branch.
Duties:
The Drafting and Permit Technician supports the Highway Regional Operations Branch by preparing permit applications, producing technical drawings, and providing field and administrative support. This role involves responding to public and internal inquiries, reviewing and processing permit applications, preparing CAD drawings for highway projects, and maintaining accurate records. The Technician also
assists with field data collection and ensures compliance with departmental standards and legislation and provides occasional technical guidance and training to junior staff. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and collaboration is essential in this position.
