Introduction
The Family Resolution Service (FRS), a branch within the Court Division of Manitoba Justice, provides services and supports for families navigating separation, divorce and/or intimate partner violence (IPV). The Clare’s Law Program offered by the FRS is a preventative initiative to address IPV and is legislated by Manitoba’s Disclosure to Protect Intimate Partner Violence Act. Clare’s Law provides a pathway for those at risk of IPV to request information about their intimate partner’s documented history of violence and receive safety planning and connections to community based supports. The Intake Coordinator has the responsibility for providing high quality services to Manitobans accessing Clare’s Law.

Duties:
The Intake Coordinator is responsible to provide administrative support to the Director and Manager, and carry out reception, and intake and triage functions for those accessing the Clare’s Law service. This position provides information and assistance to applicants who are applying to the Clare’s Law service, as well as support to the FRS intake Get Guidance team.

The incumbent contributes to the effective operation of the Clare’s Law service and the FRS team; they consult and collaborates with a wide cross-section of staff, including managers, directors and family guides to provide information, advice and guidance on intake and administrative procedures, and to discuss and resolve issues related to intake and administrative services. The incumbent is in regular contact with vendors and other outside partners regarding the purchase of a broad array of the administrative equipment and services. The incumbent also provides administrative support for the branch’s children and youth services.
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Administrative or clerical post-secondary education, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. 
  • Experience performing clerical and administrative duties in an office environment, such as data entry, customer service, and filing paperwork.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in French.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent written communication skills in French.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to make independent decisions for the purpose of carrying out regular work assignments.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle a high volume of work and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desired: 
  • Experience with SAP, SharePoint and FileMaker and case management systems.
