Introduction
This role provides essential support to Rural and Northern Child and Family Services by managing financial and administrative documentation for various programs. The ideal candidate should possess strong computer skills and excel in fostering positive relationships with families, service providers, and agencies. Additionally, the position includes clerical and administrative responsibilities to assist both the team and overall office operations. 
Duties:
As a vital member of the team, the Child and Family Services (CFS) Clerk delivers administrative and clerical support to facilitate the operations of Rural and Northern Child and Family Services. Key responsibilities include managing the switchboard and reception duties, overseeing records management by maintaining and archiving both physical and electronic files, processing accounts payable, and handling inventory management.
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Experience performing administrative and/or clerical duties, including but not limited to reception, answering phones, records management, filing, data entry, etc.
  • Experience working with the public and providing customer service to a diverse clientele.
  • Experience performing accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and/or creating financial reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Effective written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to effectively manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to understand, explain, and apply regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Desired:
  • Experience working with SAP or other equivalent financial management software.
  • Completion of post-secondary education, such as a degree, diploma, or certificate in Business Administration, Office Certificate or working towards completion.
  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French.
