Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • On-site work location required with standard working hours from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in business, accounting, commerce or other related field; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
  • Experience in a clerical or administrative role including development and maintaining a filing system, including the intake and archiving of files
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies, legislations and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy working environment
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Experience working with SAP
Desired:
  • Experience with the bank reconciliation process
Duties:
This position is responsible for essential bank reconciliation functions that are crucial to the continuation of the Province’s financial cycles, this includes administering the Province’s cheque replacement process, fraud prevention and detection processes reissuance of prior year’s redeposited cheques and the stop payment process. Additionally, this position produces the daily and monthly bank reconciliation for a variety of provincial bank accounts and acts as backup for the Bank Reconciliation accountant. This position reports directly to the Manager, Bank Reconciliation.
