Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Experience working in a court or related legal environment, with a sound understanding of the general operation and processes of the Court system.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, practices and /or protocols involving court scheduling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills including the  ability to set priorities and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment 
  • Ability to deal effectively with related system stakeholders
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)

Desired:
  • Experience working under pressure and handling urgent situations effectively and efficiently
  • Experience with Court of King’s Bench databases, such as KB Registry or Rota
  • Graduation from a recognized legal or administrative assistant training program

Duties:
The Trial Coordinator Assistant is responsible for the provision of administrative support to the Trial Coordination Unit of the Court of King’s Bench, including, but not limited to preparation and distribution of weekly rota list; requisitioning, retrieval, tracking of files for trials, pre-trials, case conferences, assignment court; and general back up to Trial and Motion Support staff and Coordinators.
