The Workforce Relations Division is responsible to provide a comprehensive range of expert employee and labour relations services to government including the administration of classification and compensation programs, collective bargaining and the provision of strategic advice and recommendations in support of a public service that embraces challenges and places innovation at the centre of its work.

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, the Collective Bargaining Research and Policy Analyst will be responsible for supporting government on policy and program mandate matters by providing qualitative and quantitative research, analysis, analytics, strategies and recommendations in support of government’s collective bargaining, labour relations and total compensation related priorities. This includes preparing position papers, submissions, reports and other written materials for consideration by senior government officials for decision-making purposes. This position will review, monitor, and report on settlement patterns; build and maintain a database with key terms and conditions contained within various collective agreements; undertake research of complex issues to identify trends; build and maintain a network of contacts in the public sector in Manitoba and across Canada.
