Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure department ensures safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure and services for Manitoba and its communities. The Department is seeking to fill multiple positions for Policy/Program/Information/Strategy Analyst(s). The positions will be within the Corporate Services Division, Policy Program and Regulation, Corporate Strategy, Indigenous Consultation e.t.c. Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Post-secondary degree in the social science, law, public or business administration, communications, emergency management, environmental science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in the application of various research methodologies and interpretation of results using quantitative and qualitative analysis. 
  • Experience in assessing, interpreting and communicating the impacts of policies, programs, agreements, legislation and/or statutes.
  • Excellent written communication skills including experience writing a variety of clear and concise documents and reports. 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including experience facilitating and presenting information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing sensitive situations through the use of judgement, diplomacy and tact.
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Experience or training in project management or change management.

Desired:
  • Experience or training in infrastructure and transportation sectors.

Duties:
The incumbent will report to a divisional Director. The incumbent will also oversee the overall direction in completing a diverse range of work and project assignments that supports the delivery of services contained within the Branch’s mandate. Other duties will include:

  • Assist and coordinate the public promotion of department programming activities.
  • Consult and advise on communication products, policies and procedures.
  • Strategic and business planning activities.
  • Project and performance mesaurement coordination.
