Duties:
As a member of the department’s management team, the Executive Director is responsible to lead and manage the Indigenous Governing Bodies Support Branch and provide advice and support to the Deputy Minister and Assistant Deputy Minister, as well as any interdepartmental bodies established to provide strategic direction to the Department of Families. The Executive Director will play a leadership role in negotiating the transition of jurisdictional responsibility for child welfare from the province to Indigenous Government and will support ongoing inter-jurisdictional collaboration.
