This is an ongoing recruitment initiative for Clerk Typist 2 (CT2) and Clerk 2 (CL2) positions located in Winnipeg. A single application can be submitted in consideration for Clerk Typist and Clerk positions that will become vacant throughout the year until March 31, 2023.  Regular full-time positions are then subsequently filled with term full-time employees.  

This advertisement will remain open and applications will be reviewed periodically to fill vacant positions as they arise.

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Experience performing clerical or administrative duties which includes data entry, answering phones, responding to e-mails as well as manual and electronic filing
  • Experience providing excellent client or customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as contribute to a respectful workplace
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Desired:
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures and rules of the court
  • Completion of a recognized legal or administrative assistant program, other related post-secondary education or related training

Duties:
The incumbent must possess excellent typing skills for processing court documents, which required proficiency in speed, attention to detail and accuracy.  The incumbent is responsible for prompt and accurate filing of all court files and documents and provides front-line customer service to the public and other stakeholders in writing, over the phone and/or in person.  Strong organizational skills are required for prioritizing heavy workloads within strict deadlines.
