Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Experience providing administrative and clerical support
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting financial information, including budgets
  • Experience analyzing applications to determine eligibility
  • Experience working with confidential information
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player
  • Experience administering government programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel), including experience working with complex spreadsheets
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to effective communicate program information to the general public
  • Strong written communication skills, including experience drafting formal correspondence

Desired:
  • Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act

Duties:
Reporting to the Administrative Officer, Program Support Clerks are responsible for administering and monitoring housing programs. This includes monitoring mortgages for loan agreement compliance, reviewing and recommending for approval individual operating budgets, rental increases and rental supplement applications as well as taking action on issues that arise based on guidelines and procedures. Other responsibilities include providing general administrative/clerical support to the Portfolio Management division, providing information and assistance to the public, and other related duties necessary for the ongoing delivery of programs.
