The Industry Development Specialist – Climate Change is the provincial specialist and provincial authority who leads and develops strategic initiatives with respect to climate change adaptation and greenhouse gas mitigation for the agriculture, food processing and natural resource industries. The incumbent will develop and deliver scientific and technical material focused on climate change adaptation and greenhouse gas mitigation. The incumbent will assess carbon outputs, carbon pricing and carbon sequestration associated with agricultural commodities and natural resources. The specialist is the department lead to industry groups, commodity associations and works in conjunction with the department of Conservation and Climate in the areas of climate change initiatives, outcomes and expectations.
