Duties:
The Senior IT Security Consultant is responsible for leading the implementation, maintenance, and operation of IT security services, infrastructure, and policies to support both internal and client requirements. The role provides expert technical guidance on security matters, contributes to policy and standards development, and delivers specialized services including penetration testing, security audits, incident response, digital forensics, and security architecture design. The position oversees security monitoring and operations, supports and trains security staff as required, and maintains current knowledge of emerging threats, tools, and best practices to ensure a strong and effective security posture.

This position works in-office at 135 Innovative Drive in Winnipeg.

Qualifications:
Essential: 

• A degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking, IT or related fields, or recognized certifications in the field of Information Security, or 5 or more years of experience in the field of IT Security, or some combination thereof
• Approach to hardening a multi-tier environment
• Cyber Security related experience implementing continuous monitoring and intrusion detection
• Ability to develop comprehensive policy, standards and procedures that align with industry best practices
• Develop, test and execute enterprise incident response plans
• Experience working with a variety of operating systems, networking environments and equipment such as firewalls, switches, and servers
• Demonstrated ability to perform self-directed learning relevant to the position and field
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• The ability to communicate with clients and manage client relationships with respect to Information Security
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with different levels of the organization
• Strong collaboration skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Cyber Security related Penetration testing experience
• Experience with agile development methodologies and practices

Conditions of Employment:

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

• Must be able to perform duties typical of an office work environment
• Must be willing and able to travel occasionally to educational institutions or client sites to attend IT consultations and meetings
