Introduction
Information Technology Services is looking for a creative, highly motivated self-starter to fill our Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager position. We are seeking a professional Business Analyst/Project Manager who is interested in working in a project-based environment and welcomes the challenge of improving processes, managing multiple priorities and successfully delivering projects.

Essentials:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems or related discipline plus several years of experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience  in the areas of business analysis and ICT project management
  • Must have project management training and extensive experience successfully leading projects and cross functional project teams
  • Must have business analysis training and demonstrated experience in eliciting, facilitating and documenting business requirements
  • Demonstrated experience using automated tools for project management and business analysis
  • Experience in project management that includes knowledge and competency in PMBOK best practices
  • Experience delivering presentations to various audiences with the ability to facilitate and lead meetings
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Advanced experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as other software programs such as: Visio, SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, Project Professional, and Enterprise Architect
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational databases and data modeling

  • Experience working in a geographic information systems (GIS) environment is desired
 
 
Duties:
The Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager as part of a team of professional Project Managers and Business Analysts, is generally accountable for leading teams or multiple cross-functional teams to successfully deliver all assigned projects and for facilitating, defining and documenting business needs and user requirements and generating detailed requirements documentation. 
The position incumbent must be able to perform a dual role.  As a Senior Business Analyst working closely with the business area, the incumbent must be able to fully understand the functions of the business area, the interrelationships with other business areas within and external to the department and effectively capture and document the functional and non-function business and system requirements to meet changing business needs and technologies. 
This position works closely with the various ICT service providers, primarily Business Transformation and Technology, to ensure the appropriate selection and implementation of ICT investment initiatives. In the Senior Project Manager role, this position is accountable for leading project teams engaged in business procedural/system reviews, feasibility studies, cost benefit analyses, business requirements definition, program/business transformation, business solution evaluations, RFP preparation, procurement, vendor selection and contracting, as well as managing and leading technical team(s) during design, application development, systems configuration, systems integration, training, testing, and post implementation reviews.
