Introduction
The primary mission of Manitoba Health, Healthy Living and Seniors' Office of Disaster Management (ODM) is to make sure the health sector is capable of providing a coordinated and effective response to the health needs of Manitobans during a disaster.  During a disaster, the ODM will facilitate the coordination of the health sector's activities with other levels of government, departments, agencies and organizations involved in the response.

Duties:
 
Under the direction of the Director of The Office of Disaster Management, the Special Projects Coordinator will provide key consultation, research, policy and program analysis, and communications to the Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Project.  These activities include support and guidance to department and inter-department initiatives, department branches, the RHAs and associated components within the scope of these projects.
