Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation is looking for Records Management clerk to maintain central filing databases and archiving records.  Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation is a division of Department Families and is working with other levels of government and the community to provide access to a range of affordable housing options with appropriate supports for individuals with multiple housing barriers.

  • Must be physically able to complete the duties and responsibilities of the position which includes; reaching, bending and lifting up to 25 lbs

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Post Secondary education or training in Records Management, Library Management or Business Administration or a combination of education and directly related experience may be considered
  • Experience working in a records management role
  • Experience developing and maintaining an Access database for record keeping
  • Experience archiving records
  • Ability to apply policies, processes and procedures as it relates to records management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills while interacting with various levels of staff and management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Experience handling and maintaining sensitive material in a confidential and professional manner
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Access and Excel)
  • Experience creating and working with complex Excel documents
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills

Duties:
Provide overall coordination of central recordkeeping within Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation (MHRC) and maintain central filing databases. These databases are utilized to catalogue the 10,000+ agreements, contracts, plans that hold business, legal, fiscal, and historical value, and are received from all branches within MHRC and located in a central file room. The records are retained as evidence of business activities and transactions. The records are consulted when the retrieval of files is necessary. The position also continuously ensures that the information is updated and/or cross-referenced in indexes, and filed in the appropriate location.  Duties also include the responsibility for the keeping and application of the corporate MHRC seal onto approved contracts/agreements in multiple copies, therefore this position requires the ability to handle highly confidential documents such as legal, financial, and operational document.
