This competition will be used to fill one non-seasonal (52 week) departmental Fisheries Technician in Gimli, MB, as well as two seasonal departmental Fisheries Technicians: one in Gimli (22 weeks) and one in Thompson (18 weeks).

Duties:
The Assistant Fisheries Technician's primary role is to assist regional staff throughout the province in conducting annual index gillnetting programs in the Central and North East regions of the province. The Assistant Fisheries Technician will sample the catch for length, weight, age, sex and maturity as well as record and enter applicable data.
