The Victim Services Branch provides a wide range of services to clients throughout Manitoba, including domestic violence and child victims and victims of the most serious crimes, as outlined under The Manitoba Victims’ Bill of Rights and the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights (VBR).

Duties:
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Courts Division, the Director provides provincial leadership for development and implementation of victims' policies and standards while providing advice and recommendations to senior Justice Officials for program and policy development in the areas of victim services, domestic violence and child abuse. These programs include: Compensation for Victims of Crime Program, Domestic Violence Support Services, Child Victim Support Services, Victim Rights Support Service, the CELL Program, Victim/Witness Assistance Program, Victim Impact Statement Program, POD (Protection Order Designate) training, the Manitoba Domestic Violence Death Review Committee, and new initiatives in supporting victims involved in restorative justice and family law proceedings.
