The Protection for Persons In Care Act (the Act) is a law to help protect adults from abuse and neglect while receiving care in personal care homes, hospitals or any other designated health facility. The Protection for Persons in Care Office (PPCO) of Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living receives and investigates reports of suspected patient abuse and neglect in health care facilities across the province.

Duties:
As a first point of contact for the Protection of Persons in Care Office, the Intake and Database Clerk receives highly confidential and sensitive information and provides information and assistance to the general public, staff at healthcare facilities, persons in care, and their families. Reporting to the Director of the Protection of Persons in Care Office (PPCO) this position is responsible for the overall Database management and administration including; intake, triage, and assessment of reports of alleged abuse and neglect and ensuring data is inputted into the database in a timely and accurate manner.
